Obviously this is my mantel. I decided my theme this year was simplistic. See the dog’s stockings... if you press the paw they bark 'Jingle Bells' while their ears dance - with jingle bells on them :) I also want to point out the horn hanging in the center. Josh brought that home to me from Romania when he went with the Church on a mission trip as a senior in high school - it is one of my most precious possessions.
This is the right side of my hearth. I just added some greenery, pine combs, and artificial poinsettia flowers to the fire logs and some Christmas candles. I'll fill in both sides with poinsettias later on.
And this is the left side. I love the peacock feathers; they were purchased one year for use in my Christmas tree and I loved them so much I couldn't put them away. I just added an artificial flower to them (dog safety). Inside my fireplace is some of my collection of drift wood from Pensacola Beach - again, I just added Christmas flowers and colored lights inside.
This is my Phantom of the Opera tree :) You probably cannot tell from the picture, but it is decorated based from the musical. I got it last year in the auction during our annual gala. I love it!
This is my kitchen island. I just have a simple place setting for 2 on it.
This is my dinning room table. I did a really simple, easy centerpiece of shiny ornaments that sparkle under the light. Then I put some dishes, etc. and 2 place settings on there.
This is my 5 ft. fiber optic tree. I absolutely love this tree! You don't put ornaments on it, but you don't need them. I should have taken this picture after dark so you could really see the lights, they are so pretty. All colors - and they make me think of fireworks. Beside it are some Christmas plates I put in my plate holder.
This picture didn't turn out very good, sorry! I wanted to show the wreaths because I made them myself - each one cost a total of $3. A buck for the foam wreath, a buck for the ribbon I wrapped around the foam, and a buck for the garland it is hanging from. (the cedar on them was free from my yard) I was trying to also get the top of my windows in the shot where I added some of the same cedar... it was in my view when I took the shot I tell 'ya!
You can see the cedar above this window in my kitchen. Again, the picture is not very good, unless I lied to you and said I was trying to focus on the oak tree outside, lol. Anyway, more simplistic. I added some sparkling ornaments to the cedar and hung a couple snowflakes with twine. They really shine in that window at certain times during the day :)
And here is my 7 1/2 ft. Alaskan Fir tree. I am in love with this tree. It is huge, is loaded with clear lights, and I don't have nearly enough ornaments for it. Well, I do but I'm not going to disgrace it with some of my old ones :) I don't think I'm going to get more this year, I kind of like it being not-so-full. I'll hit the 'after Christmas' sales for some really great ones for next year!
The next few shots are of some of my favorite ornaments. I have 4 of these beautiful butterflies.
I love these, I think I have 4 or 5 different shapes.
Isn't this a beautiful peacock? The crystals on him just sparkle in the lights!
This is another favorite - I have 4 of these also.
I think these are my very favorite of all. These peacocks have it all, feathers, crystals, pearls, tassels. They are just exquisite!!
And this is what makes it beautiful. My special doves! They mean so very much to me and I think they are the most gorgeous tree toppers EVER :)
