The morning of Rathayatra 7/6/08 5:44 AM
On the morning of July 4, 2008, "aashaadh shukla dvitiyaa", the auspicious day of the annual Sri Jagannath Rathayatra Mahotsav (festival), the Mayor of Baroda, Sri Balkrishna Shukla, MLA Jitubhai Sukhadia and a number of BJP Baroda Municipal Corporators, and also the leader of the opposition in the Baroda Municipal Corporation, Sri Chiragbhai Jhaveri, and several other Congress party leaders, visited ISKCON Baroda and were present at the "darshan arati" at 8:00 AM, when the dresses for Their Lordships were unveiled. A number of pictures of the Deities new dresses can also be seen, as well as the scenes within the temple (kirtan during darshan arati), in front of the temple. and a view of the leaders posing with ISKCON Gujarat Zonal Secretary Jasomatinandan Prabhu, and ISKCON Baroda temple president, Basu Ghosh Das.
