2009 Berryessa swim- my favorite swim of the summer. We had decent weather, minimal wind, mid 70s. I swam the one mile and paddled support for the two mile, these pictures are mostly from the two mile swim, taken on the water from my kayak.

The course was a bit iffy, due to the low water, there were different opinions on which way to go

The first group of kids, (s/b all boys) 8 to 11 I think. I ended up escorting the girl near the flag the whole way. She got a little scared when she could not see the bottom, but hung on and finished.

The water is as low has it has been in years. I don' t recall seeing those rocks before. This was my 17th straight year of swimming the one mile.
Going between Flamingo Islands, the local wildlife was not spooked, as you can see.
