One Year H-10 Reunion

A group of us went to go see the Pulhapanzak Falls and after leaving the Agua Azul Resort Javier and Sarah Prada, Luke and Annie Gingrich, Kate and Shawn, and I decided to get a bite to eat at one of 40 fish shacks along the road to San Pedro Sula boardering Lago de Jojoa.

Agua Blanca

Agua Blanca is an aldea of Ojos de Agua. Communities are organized around a town called a municipality. Ojos de Agua is a municipality which serves the smaller towns around it (called aldeas) by having the mayors office and other administrative services, also, stores, markets, transportation, and food vendors.

Birthday Nov. 3 2007

These pictures were taken on my birthday. It just happens that my host mom's niece, Azul, has her birthday on the same date. My host mom, Norma, made a cake for me and I thanked her for it with a hug. The party that night was for Azul and all of her cousins. The house turned into a dance club for the night as a constant stream of reggaton rang out of the speakers and everyone danced.

Late Arrival to Honduras

Because of snow we left Washington D.C. several days late for Peace Corps training in Santa Lucia. These pictures were taken when we first arrived at the airport in San Pedro Sula and on the 5 hour trip by bus across the country to reach our host families.
