Learning control - an important part of the course. VT teaches that only we can control our behaviour through many different media, i.e. canoeing, climbing, journeying, etc.

The bothy at Uags (ooh-ags) - the renovated schoolhouse of a deserted fishing community five kilometres across rough, boggy ground from the nearest road. Three days spent here seeks to develop the learning from the first few days of the course and imbue skills and learning for the rest of the course
The abseil at Uags - abseiling is used as a vehicle to safely explore self-confidence, self-control and trust.
Doing fine: the course is often about how we do things that we do not want to do. We can't change the weather, only our attitude towards it. Practice makes permanent.

Coasteering - a challenge by choice activity where participants get the opportunity to traverse the normally inaccessible coastline. This activity highlights the importance of confidence, trust in yourself and others and effective communication skills
