Mount St. Helens

Mount St. Helen's erupted on 18 May 1980. This volcano is located near Cougar, Washington, about 2 hours from Portland, Oregon. My family moved to Lewiston, Idaho on this day and did not see the eruption, other than the large dust cloud that followed us east.
