The girls were giving Felicity a tea-party birthday party.
They all busied themselves getting ready for the party.
Soon, Felicity arrived!
"Happy Birthday, Felicity!" Everyone shouted.
"Thank you everyone!' Felicity said, taking her seat at the table. "We have lots of Colonial fun in store for you." Nicki said, smiling.
First, Adria taught everyone how to properly serve tea, and they had a lovely tea-party.
Afterwards, Nicki said; "Now, it's Emily's turn."
"I took on the horse-part of the party." Emily explained to Felicity. "I am going to teach everyone how to ride side-saddle."
"You have to make sure the saddle girth is tight, because since your weight is not distrubited evenly as when you are riding astride, you must make sure your saddle is not going to slide."
"Then you climb up on the horse normally, as if you are going to ride astride."
"Next, you carefully lift your right leg over the horse's neck."
"And there you have it!"
"It's quite easy, once you get the hang of it."
Emily demonstrated how to ride sidesaddle.
....
"Good girl, Wyakin!" She whispered to the horse as she dismounted. "Does anyone else want to try?"
"Me!" Felicity called.
Emily showed her how to check the girth...
How to mount up...
And then she helped her get her leg over the horse's neck.
Felicity nervously slapped the reins on the horse's neck.
"Yikes!" She squealed as she started to slide off.
"Ooh, Wyakin is slippery." Felicity squeaked out.

and Nicki. Violet didn't ride because her skirts were too thick.
"Now we are going to have a game. We are going to play the Game of Graces!" Josefina said after everyone was done riding Wyakin.
"Ooh, this will be fun!"
It was really hard, and Felicity could never catch the hoop on her stick, so the game didn't last that long.
Then they played Button, Button who's got the Button. (I think that is a old Colonial parlor game)
"Thank you everyone for such a lovely party!" Felicity said, smiling.
"Your Welcome and have a very happy birthday, Felicity!" Emily smiled.
"Happy birthday!"
"Happy Birthday!"
"And many more!' Kathleen added.
