This is what I see as I approach the university from my flat. The university only has three buildings, two of which are joined together to form one big complex. The left side is old and covered with ivy, and the right side is new.
The new, main entrance.
The old building. I took this photo on September 21, compare with the other shots taken on October 1. What a change!
The old entrance, which is no longer in use.
The main foyer, on the left there's a huge coat check area. I'll be sure to take more photos this winter...
The main stairs in the new wing.
My stairs.
Our office and classrooms are on the third floor.
This is where we can make copies, when the copier is working. Also, they sell snacks on that small green table during the day.
My hallway. They always keep the lights off to conserve energy, but the classrooms have big windows so they are always bright. Of course they have lights inside for the evening classes too.
Ahhh... the schedule. I have to double check my room assignments before each class as sometimes things change at the last minute. And to make matters worse, everything is written in Belarusian, which is a little different from Russian.
Here's a close up so you get an idea of what I'm dealing with.
A hallway in the old building, at the end of which is the all important Office of International Affairs.
The old stairs.
The namesake of the university, Yanka Kupala.
Belarusian pride! Each classroom has a flag posted on the wall too.
The main foyer, but looking toward the exit.
