This is where I bought the lumber to build my bed. Some of it came buggy and with water damage. I returned the worst of it. They only deliver to the sidewalk, but I paid one of them $20 to help me take it up to my apartment.
Here she is, in all her finished glory!
Close-up of one of the legs. You can see some files stored underneath. It's high enough to two layers of standard file boxes and deep enough for two or three rows of file boxes, depending on their length. It's wide enough for about five file boxes, also depending on their size.
Close-up of inside of the legs of the bed. The whole thing can be disassembled for moving, although it might require some solvent, since I finished it after screwing it together and some of the stain/sealer may have gotten onto the bolts, washers, and nuts.
One of the imperfections. If I did it again, I might drill fewer holes beforehand more after it was all ready to be assembled. Some of the wood was warped, which is one reason the holes didn't quite line up. Another reason is imperfect measuring.
