my grandfather's tool box. He passed away in 1975... so this is a bit of a time capsule. It became mine after my grandmother passed in 1987.
Grandfather was from Villa Rica, Georgia. He later moved to Escambia County, Florida and met my grandmother and lived there the rest of his life.

I'm not sure what this tool is used for... something to do with shoeing mules/horses? cutting nails? some folks are saying these are known as 'end cutter nippers'. Others are saying it is for clipping hooves. My mother said my grandmother used it for something with her old foot powered sewing machine... and grandfather would take it to the woods with him when he was cutting a certain type of fence wire.
