Waspam-Port transport May 2010
Transport of a 24 year old pregnant girl bleeding to a bigger hospital. This is the same girl I picked up from Francia Saturday morning and drove to the hospital in Waspam. The doctors requested transport to Puerto Cabezas.

We saw 45 patients in Lapan yesterday. Rained all they way flying there, and came out in beautiful sunshine 1 mile from the runway.

hangar construction day 2
This is the 2nd day of work on the hangar. We put up the 3rd arch. Now it needs the small fill pieces and some welding and cutting of the braces. It's main part is done! I need to put in the footings now too for the 6 arches where they contact the ground.

Hangar Construction 1st day
I am thrilled to have a hangar for the airplane! I am putting it up now. It will be covered with a tarp. It has 3 arches. These are the first 2. The hangar is 57 feet wide and 37 feet long. The ends will be open.

Lapan Radio Test
I tested out a 2-meter radio in Lapan today to see if I could make it back to Tronquera for emergency communication. It made it! Now I need to go set it up.
Lapan Mobile Clinic December 6
A mobile clinic in Lapan with Gerson Zamora. We saw 64 patients! It was a very busy day. The Lapan people were very happy!

Waspam Puerto Medical Transport
The radio snapped to life this morning -- and I was off to transport a lady who had just had a baby and was unconscious from the smaller hospital to the largest hospital on our coast, Puerto Cabezas.

Hurricane Ida
In the night of November 5 Hurricane Ida came through this part of Nicaragua. It was only a tropical storm when it was this far inland, but it dumped lots of water. Very little bridges or houses were hurt, but virtually all the Miskito's in the area lost crops since they all plant on the rivers edge
