Nordnatur: Ytri Vik and Eyjafjordur
Three days in the area just north of Akureyri on Eyjafjordur staying in a lovely guesthouse right on the water. We caught and tagged a lot of fish, sampled the benthic organisms with a sediment grabber, played with a fancy YSI, looked at the bottom environment (including a hydrothermal vent!) with an underwater camera, toured halibut and blue mussel farms, and also had some time left to sample the local beer and relax in the hot tub.
