The Incredibly Blue Mediterranean Again.
Approaching the Velletta Harbor
Closer to Valletta Harbor. A Guy made his Comment at this Point "Now I know what Malta Looks like. My Dad, in WWII had the Responsibility of Entering this Harbor and Removing the King and Queen Before the German's Bombed Malta. He Always Talked about it, know I have seen it."
As we Approached we could see Many Forts Going right down to the Water
Forts were on Both Sides of the Harbor
They Took Advantage of the Cliffs as Well
We were Eventually Parked in Front of the Other Cruise Ship in the Harbor. A Pilot Took us Between the Two Breakwaters. On Leaving, the Captain Essentially Backed the Ship Out
Passing Through the Breakwaters
More Forts in the Inner Harbor
Finally Getting Close to our Dock
This was an Interesting Set of Home Outside the Fortification and Along the Rock "Beach"
Another View of the Port as We Entered. In the Center, the Multi-Columned Round Building, is the Wartime Siege Bell
This is the Harbor as we Approached our Dock
You can See the Tunnel Access under Buildings Coming out to the Road Along the Harbor - Very Interesting Architecture
Closeup View of the Buildings Overlooking the Grand Harbor
Old Galleon Right where we Docked
Our Ship Docked Along these Wharfs Jutting out from the Main Dock
Another Cruise Ship and the Galleon Right in Front of Where we Docked
Nancy Recognized this as the Most Expensive Racing Yacht. It was Pretty Dramatic
View from our Balcony looking Across the Harbor from Where we Docked
