Waiting for the parade to start in Roujan
Here come the majorettes!
And the band.
Isn't this so cute? You could just go out on your balcony to watch the whole thing.
We thought this was a funny name for a little street.
How I want my front entrance to look one day.
In Pezenas.
Beautiful Le Couvent.
Many uses for old wine barrels.
Ali, Vonda, and Lizzie in their vineyard, Chateau Malaudos.
Chateau Malaudos
Lizzie working hard.
Setting up the generator so Lizzie could water the veggie garden.
Edgar in deep discussion with Lizzie and Ali.
Testing the grapes. They were GOOD!
Hanging out in the mazet.
Back at Le Couvent at the pool.
Polishing off the homemade ice cream from the actual canister it was made in.
Yep, I'm using the ice cream scoop to do it. It was a rough day.
I think this is Flynn... I can never keep their names straight.
This is Kit (or Flynn if I was wrong before).
We missed the Tour de France by a few weeks, but we still got to see some road markings because we drove our car on some of the same roads they cycled on.
Having lunch.
Saint Guilheim de Desert
Main plaza of St. Guilheim.
Inside the courtyard of the very old church.
Taking a break.
Walking around the medieval town.
Me at 21 weeks pregnant.
Inside the Sant Bou train station where we switched trains on the way to Barcelona.
Barcelona!
The pigeons had the right idea.
At the top of the Las Ramblas.
Strolling down Las Ramblas.
Bird stall on Las Ramblas.
We stopped at Cafe Granja Viader for some ice cream and a place to cool off.
Edgar had fresh lemonade, which was really just freshly squeezed lemon juice that was very sour.
Inside Boqueria Market, the best market I've ever been to.
Very colorful fruit displays for aisles.
And of course it's Spain, so lots of ham.
And because we are so close to the sea, lots of fresh seafood
I think this one was smiling at us!
Place Reial
Fountain in the center of Placa Reial.
Lampposts by Gaudi
Columbus Monument at the end of Las Ramblas and the beginning of the harbor area.
Harbor area.
This buoy looked like a peeing man no matter how you looked at it.
Where we had great tapas! Can you see us?
Some had sangria.
But I just had water.
Every major European city has these guys selling the same knock off purses and sunglasses. It wouldn't be Europe without them.
In front of Sagrada Familia
It's a work in progress since the early 20th century. It is expected to be finished in 50 more years.
Read the sign...
Inside Sagrada Familia.
The construction is funded by private donation and entrance fees, so it's taken a while to complete.
And it is very massive and detailed.
Many master craftsmen spend their last working years working on this building.
Maybe one day we'll get to see the finished thing with our own eyes.
What it's supposed to look like upon completion
Another Gaudi building.
Barcelona Cathedral.
Entrance to Park Guell, a Gaudi master-planned community from a hundred years ago.
It didn't take off because the rich ladies were too far away from the center of culture and the city of Barcelona.
I'm sure it would be a big hit these days.
Gaudi was way ahead of his time.
Edgar spied this tiny fish on a sculpture. Gaudi was very inspired by nature.
View from the terrace of the Park.
Little Baby has already been alot of places! I think my belly should have its own passport.
Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea in the background.
Live music permeated around every corner of the park.
These particular guys were great! We listened to them for at least half an hour.
