(37) pictures of my RV-6 FWF setup at full size - about 750 hrs on this engine/prop to date (P-mags at about 50hrs). Normal wear & tear, stains and drips from something running for eight years. I am running an ECi 180hp with Hartzell BA C/S, Precision MA-4-5 carb, Vetterman exhaust and (2) P-mags. Look for the zoom button when you click on a picture (looks like a magnifying glass), as it allows you to zoom in a lot further than you think.
Plenty of ways to do this stuff, just showing how my setup is done. This all done by a licensed A&P, IA - I don't mess around with engine stuff. The FWF is visually inspected by an A&P, IA at every oil change in addition to every annual. Too much riding on it for my comfort level and too many years as a Systems Analyst learning computer things instead of engine things.
I change the oil and look for loose bolts and vibration-related wear, but not much else. I leave the FWF to professionals.
