CONGO (DR)

Vetiver System is being used in the Congo (DR) for gully control in urban areas and for highway stabilization. These gullies are a mjor problem in the Congo and other West African countries. Vetiver makes an excellent solution. Under a USAID project called CLIFFS many small vetiver nurseries were established so that there is a good supply of vetiver available. The most experienced vetiver specialist in the Congo is Mr. Alain Ndona. (alinondona@yahoo.fr ). He has been certified by The Vetiver Network International
