Nancy and J

Every couple is excited and happy to get married but sometimes, couples are more open with their excitement. This was certainly the case with Nancy & J! Nancy is such a happy spirit - her expressions are priceless and she kept on her uber high heels all night long. Respectable, for sure. The day was off and on rainy but the clouds went away just long enough for the happy couple to get married on the plaza in front of North Pond restaurant in Lincoln Park. As soon as they sealed their marriage with a kiss, Nancy & J took off on their bikes even though by that point, Nancy was surely freezing! It was a great night! Allison and Josh

Check out the amazing photography from Green Seed Photography. Allie and Josh's wedding was definitely windy but no one let that stop them from enjoying the colonnades at Soldier Field. It was the perfect setting for 2 avid football fans and they made sure to incorporate touches of football (notice the x's and o's) wherever they could. What a great night celebrating with family and friends!

Danielle and Jacob

It was super hot and humid but the rain held off so Danielle and Jacob could enjoy their picturesque ceremony by the water in Humboldt Park. A fun, laid back and colorful reception followed at the Bottom Lounge. I really enjoyed working with Food Evolution, Beep Media and Matthew Kuehl Photography on this wedding. Special thanks goes out to the Barrel of Monkeys theater group for use of the awesome centerpieces.

Erin and Jeremy

Erin and Jeremy left their New York comfort zone to get married on a hazy, hot, slightly rainy Saturday in June at the Eaglewood Resort in Itasca. It shouldn't have surprised me that these two were such good dancers considering both of their artistic backgrounds but still, I was delighted and amazed at just how much they got down! So much that the cops made a brief appearance to tell us to turn it down a notch. We should have just invited the neighbors - they would have had a fantastic time...just like the guests! A hearty thank you to George Street Photo & Video for the fantastic shots of the day!

Kaitlyn and Ryan

On a beautiful Saturday at the end of May, Kaitlyn and Ryan tied the knot in Crete, IL at the Lincolnshire Country Club. After a meaningful ceremony at St. Maria Goretti, Holly from The Lady and the Lens took the bridal party around Crete for some really fun photography. I love Kaitlyn for laying in the grass (quite a risk in a white dress!) and being so relaxed in between their ceremony and reception. Ryan is a true Star Wars fan and nice touches to honor his fandom were incorporated throughout the night. Some, he knew about and some were a surprise. All were really loved.

Maureen and Rich

Maureen and Rich were married at the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort. It was a beautiful autumn day and the fall colors were at their brightest and best. It was a tad cold, though, which prevented the ceremony from taking place outside, as originally planned. Kristen and Terry

Kristen was one of the most organized brides I have ever worked with. And as a result, everything came together beautifully for hers and Terry's wedding. One of the most notable features of their wedding was the photo tree. The structure itself was provided by their florist, Flora (LOVE Flora!), but the photos attached were all the work of multi-talented Kristen. Each photo had been trimmed to a uniform size and pasted onto some backing and then a ribbon was attached. The effect was amazing and so personal.
