Lincoln District Office Photos

The new Lincoln District Office opened in the early part of 2008 -- it is about 1 mile from the old office, and all phone numbers are the same as before. More (and better quality) photos are coming soon. The camera was having technical difficulties on this particular day, unbeknownst to the photographer. We'll blame it on the smoky and hot conditions.

MythBusters

Grant, Kari, and Tory from Discovery Channel's popular show "MythBusters" put a hwacha to the test at the Marysville Plant of Teichert Aggregates June 18-20, 2008. The show will air sometime in the fall, so watch your local listings. http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/mythbusters/about/about.html

Fix I-5

Teichert was a subcontractor to C.C. Myers, Inc. for the Fix I-5 job in downtown Sacramento. Our crews worked on the north and south ends of the project, removing the existing roadway, installing drainage systems, and re-paving.

Construction Career Day 2008

About 1,500 students from 11 counties participated in the 2008 Construction Career Day, where they had hands-on experience with the trades and spoke to representatives from the industry. The Federal Highway Administration, Caltrans, Associated General Contractors of California, and dozens of industry partners joined together with more than 100 Career Technical Education, teachers, ROP program coordinators, school districts, apprenticeship programs, and colleges.

Ferguson Slide

A rockslide on Highway 140 all but paralyzed one of the main arteries to Yosemite National Park in 2006. Crews took swift action by constructing two bridges and a bypass road. Work in the canyon was hot, and crews were also at the mercy of the forging Merced River. The project was completed with no injuries or incidents. Citizens of Mariposa decorated the downtown area with signs and banners thanking Teichert and Caltrans crews for their work.
