4 June 2001 - The first job was to remove rubbish that had been left inside 361. Ian and Gerald are seen taking a break while cleaning the car, the mess in the far aisle giving an idea of what we had to remove.

11 June 2001 - When BL361 was allocated to the wiring train it was renumbered to a work vehicle roster as L 462. The plates are still attached. As it is still in use as worker facilities maybe this is a more correct number.
11 June 2001 - The interior of the workshop end. Seat cushions are stacked on the work bench. This area was full of rubbish when we bought it.
11 June 2001 - The other end with tables and chairs in place but the toilet has been converted to a servery area.
11 June 2001 - Found behind a seat back, a carriage shop worker has left his initials and the date.
11 June 2001 - 361 is a former 1st class tourist car.
11 June 2001 - the end view of 361 as received. Visible are the roof walks, some wiring, the (now peeling) grey paint, heavy buffers and non standard (ex-electric car?) gangway panels, all remaining from its days as part of the overhead wiring train.
11 June 2001 - some of the blinds in 361 are in reasonable condition.
11 June 2001 - 361 immediately became our amenties car. While the accomodation isn't as flash as it was when a first class car it serves the purpose.
12 September 2001 - we decided early on to protect our carriages with tarps. One of the neighbours sells ex-advertising banners made of heavy plastic that are ideal and reasonably inexpensive. One is shown on 361.
12 September 2001 - we purchased a number of luguage racks. As can be seen they are not the correct size but hopefully can be used somewhere.
1 February 2004 - the toilet area of 361 was returned to operation using a chemical toilet. The cubicle was repaired and painted while the outside was stripped of lacquer.
