September 2001 - an internal view of the end of 1539
September 2001 - the interior of 1539 as received, the frames on the floor supported equipment used when it was an instruction car. The objects in the centre are the lower steps which had ben cut off while it was in use as a shed on a farm in Northern NSW.
September 2001 - one end of 1539 showing the poor condition of the canopy and end platform but the important steelwork and fittings are present and in good condition.
2 July 2002 - We have an intruder in 1539!
8th May 2003 - Ben assisted by Stephen in the shadows places a tarp on 361 amd 1539.
2 March 2003 - As part of our plan to prevent further deterioration Graeme and Stephen give 1539 a coat of paint. It is still on a temporary track and borrowed bogies.
2 March 2003 - Graeme, Stephen and Ian apply a protective coat to 1539's flanks.
26 April 2003 - 1539 is moved from its temporary position onto our track.
