Chilling out on the way to meet Maddy
Maddy was a big helper all weekend, starting with supper at Chick-Fil-A on Friday evening
Maddy took Lucas to the counter to trade in their toys for ice cream!
Ice cream duel
We stopped by JQF (Concord Airport) for some airplane watching
Lucas and Maddy enjoyed the short elevator ride
It was one big slumber party as Maddy and Lucas bunked out in Grammie and Granddaddys bedroom
Up early on Saturday morning, Maddy helped take care of Lucas while the pancakes were cooking
Which one do I eat first? Fire Truck or Choo Choo Train?
Maddy's pancake started out as a pocketbook. Really.
Lucas LOVED the "choo-choo train". He called for it as soon as he woke up Saturday morning and from his nap Saturday afternoon
Nothing wrong with putting a train car in the airport control tower
Lucas (like his Dad 30 years before) loves to push buttons. Here he finds the front doorbell for Dora's house
After breakfast we all headed to the ice skating rink for Madison's lessons
Lucas kept a sharp eye out while Maddy took lessons from Miss Amanda
Lucas found the hockey team bench to be a good place to watch all the kids skating
It's the Zamboni!
Skating works up an appetite, so we headed to Jason's
What? More ice cream?
Lucas liked eating the cone but couldn't quite figure out why that made his nose so cold
As we left Jason's there was the Hook and Ladder Truck from Station 24 - the same one Lucas visited on July 26
Maddy decided she could drive the big rig
Thanks to our Firefighters for the job they do every day
It was fun playing hide and seek, but Lucas kept helping count out loud -- while he was hiding!
Madison and Lucas played great together all weekend
This picture was taken by Madison
The party moved upstairs for coloring
And while Lucas was coloring, Madison practiced her dance steps
