Most of the photos in this album were taken on Sept 18 and 19, 1971 at Troutdale, OR air tanker base and they were working on a fire or fires those days (and maybe days before and after). The photos are in chronological order and all the slides (except one) that I took those days are included.
The 1st 2 photos and the last 2 were taken at Portland. The last 2 on Sept 22.
Seeing the slides this way gives a feeling for the action, I think.
