Loop Head & Inishbofin

Laurent rented a car and we had the chance to go travelling to the rural parts of Ireland at ease. We began driving through South Clare and Connemara, discovering the Beautiful Island of Inishbofin and its singular Islanders.

Spending St. Patrick's day in Belfast we left to the Causeway coast the next few days. Travelling with a German girl I barely knew the trip was full of adventures, fighting against sand, wind, hail, St. Patrick hangover and a huracane.

Malin Head

Malin Head, the most northenly point of Ireland was a great example of how good hitchhiking is in rural areas. Lovely landscape, friendly locals and some invitations for tea in private houses :-).

Derry on Bloody Sunday

I was lucky enough to be in the Ulster for Bloody Sunday and I decided to head for Derry. A lucky lift took me there early in the Morning and I managed to enjoy both the city and the conmemorative march and to enjoy a lot about the history of the Island.

I had just met Francesca, but none of us had plan for Easter. We went hiking for two weeks along the north way (camino de Santiago) through Tania's house and Picos de Europa. Good fun and good sport in the nature!

Swiss winter in an old car

We took Laurent's old car and drove without knowing where we were going. We ended up in Aosta and west Switzerland, and lucky of us, we got snow and very cold weather. I've never been so cold! But it was a great trip, I love snow :-)!

We had a car and the chance to drive through the Highlands of Scotland. My friends weren't adventurous but even them wanted to explore the tremendous beauty of the Highlands. I had problems driving such a big and trendy car, but in the end, we got where we wanted to :-).

France in the Summer of 2004

This was my second summer in the community of Lescar-Pau, and after it I headed to the Athlantic coast of France and Britanny. I began the trip with my friend Alvaro from Spain who decided to come back in the middle of it and left me on my own. The photos are asorted and of bad quality, but they reflect all the fun and mess of that summer.

Mountains in Spring are tricky, one day you have bright sun, the next it's all rainy and cold. I went there with some foolish childish people and in the end we were wet and frozen. But they made me be childish and foolish too and we had lots of fun :-).

Emmaüs Lescar 2003

I had no plans for the summer but this time I was not going to give in. I left all alone to France, without speaking the language, to work with a community of weird people I have never heard about before. I spent two months working with Emmaüs in Lescar, and somehow it was the beginning of something.

Warhammer Andalucian Tournament

Wining the tournament in my city, I went to play to Malaga and some friends decided to come and support me. We all stay in the city for 3 nights in a pension that was so bad we didn't even dare taking a shower. No wining in the end, but a great weekend socialisin with other players. Now, looking at the pictures I realise how much I have changed.
