My first walk - at about 06h15 - the top floor room with balcony is mine
Sea foam - not surf about this but everyone swims here
Much different from Punta Gorda and Placencia
Neatly trimmed grassparks that are clean compared to everywhere else I have seen
Another view of the hotel and the house next door
Government buildings - superb compared to elsewhere
Another view of the sea wall
This advertises the site of the old Mayan Village - Mormon Church behind
Not sure where this boat goes

Fishing boats bring in the catch - sold immediately - fresh fish!
This was the same afternoon - note the cloudless sky - less humidity here than in the south
In this photo the colour of the sea is approaching the actual colour of the sea, which is deep turquoise, nearly green
Heading south the parks continue.
I have tried to capture the colour of Corozal Bay - this is one out of 30 attempts - the sea is a most beautiful turqouise. This seems to me to be an ideal place to build and sail a Paradox Dinghy/
The sea front looks very well maintained.
Estate Agents - super offices...
... a good advert.
A very helpful crown in here.
The bay at noon. Cero Maya in the background. This was a major trading post more than 2000 years ago!
The sea looks pretty tempting, There were a dozen kids swimming but as this is going on the Net I didn't take their pictures.
Looking north.
The town in the distance. I go for long walks every morning.
This is the harbour at Tony's Resort.
Tony's
Inside the “y not Grill” at Tony's.
Main bedroom block at Tony's.
The entrance to Corozal Bay Resort where we stayed last February. The resort was badly damaged by Hurricane Dean.
A swim anyone. Inviting pool at Corozal Bay Resort.
Inside the new bar and restaurant.
The new Bar - Corozal Bay Resort - the bartender is just as grumpy.
The cabanas. Wouldn't it be far better if they were seen through a cooling forest?
The green cabana is the one I stayed in last year.
Tony's Harbour from Corozal Bay
Splendiferous house in Corozal Bay area.
A different house - on sale for US$975 000.00. It is incredible inside. The beams and pillars are unique tree trunks. The main pillar is 27 feet long with six feet under the ground and with no branches. It easily withstood Dean. The roof is guaranteed by the thatcher. There was slight damage to the ridge and this was repaired free. Concrete houses and iron roofs suffered quite a lot during Dean.
Next door.
Which would you prefer to live in - this or the thatched one? I think this will always be an eyesore.
Ostentatious gatehouse. Larny houe at the rear. Ponds being installed at the moment
Canal into embryo marina. Doesn't appear to be much going on with the lots on the marina
This one has canal frontage
I walked the mile or so back here for lunch. Very clean, very tasty, very cheap. Curried shrimps and rice - a huge platefull - for only £3.25. Too much MSG though.
I think I got the colour of Corozal Bay just about right. It is a simply beautiul colour and the photo does not do it justice.
Sea Front Diner. Friendly, cheap and tasty. A Braai every weekend and on Public Holidays.
This night club stands out because of its design.
I didn't know Totilla Factories existed until I saw th one in Punta Gorda. This looks good - inside and out.
The market has lost some of its appeal sice last year. The best design I saw in Belize but missing something now.
The market - needs something doing to it.
Bird on a Fence
Another Bird on another Pole
Murals abound.
welcome to town - Churchillian Gesture - from the rear a Rhodesian insult.
