END THE WAR March & Rally in Johnson City, TN 09/22/07

Concerned TN Citizens, Democracy Now! Tri-Cities, and Appalachian Peace Education Center co-sponsored a march and rally in traditionally conservative NE Tennessee (The Buckle of the Bible Belt). Over 200 people marched and even more came to hear speakers and live music on the campus of East Tennessee State University

4th Anniversary Candlelight Vigil Photos

Concerned TN Citizens, Democracy Now! Tri-Cities and Appalachian Peace Education Center held 8 candlelight vigils throughout the region, including Elizabethton, Johnson City, Bristol, Rogersville, Kingsport, and Jonesborough TN, Abingdon and Emory VA. Over 400 people participated in the vigils.

ConcernedTNCitizens Go to DC 01/20/07

The second event that Concerned TN Citizens ever participated in! The first was a demonstration on MLK Day in Johnson City, when the group was all of 4 days old! About 60 people came for that. In the course of the next 5 days we raised over $1000 and got a group of 35 people to DC for the March on Washington. Some of those who could not go to DC demostrated that day in JC, and we demonstrated there weekly until after the 4th anniversary of the war in March of 07.
