McKinzie River, on my way to Eugene
Peter DeFazio Footbridge and the Ferry Street Bridge in Eugene, Oregon. This was the start of my Willamette River Float Trip.
30 minutes into the trip, rapids and large waves!
Lots of white water in Eugene
3' waves ... water coming into the canoe! I hope I haven't bitten off more that I can chew on this trip!
Day 2 - The river finally got calm!
Camped at McCartney Park near Harrisburg
Stopped for a break in Peoria. I was hoping for a store, but there's nothing here!
This family floated from Peoria to Corvallis.
Floating on the Willamette River, near Corvallis, Oregon.
What a beautiful day on the Willamette River!
I had a lot of gear under my green tarp, but it turned out to be a good thing! I needed the ballast to keep the front of my canoe in the water.
I camped here, just past Corvallis.
Early the next morning, there was a little fog on the river. I got an early start.
I didn't stop here, but this is the Luckiamute Landing at RM 108, just before the spot where the Santiam River joins the Willamette River.
There was a lot of wildlife along the river! Here's a deer. I also saw some bald eagles, a raccon, and one night, a beaver kept me awake splashing with is tail!
At Lunch at Andy's Cafe in Independence.
