Patriarch Alexiy II, head of the Russian Orthodox Church and Constantinople Patriarch Bartholomew, world-wide head of the Orthodox faith, take part in a service in Kiev July 27, 2008. The service, also attended by Ukraine's President Viktor Yushchenko, marked the 1,020th anniversary of the region's embrace of Orthodox Christianity.
