Jepsonia parryi (Coast Jepsonia)
"Jepsonia parryi is a diminutive perennial herb of rocky shrub-covered slopes. In spring, one or two broadly rounded leaves appear from the corm-like, starchy, woody, plant base (caudex). As summer approaches, these leaves wither and die. Months later, in autumn, several small, white flowers arise on a leafless, 8-cm-tall stem." Oscar F. Clarke, Flora of the Santa Ana River and Environs, p. 221
