After completion of the Pre-Combat Checks and Pre Combat Inspections an Escort Team member guides the MRAP out of the inspection area. The Convoy Escort Teams of the 1st Battalion 151st Field Artillery (FA), 115th Fires Brigade, are using Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles and armored High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) to escort truck convoys from Kuwait to Iraq, ensuring Soldiers have the supplies they need. The battalion, based in Minn., is finishing its second month of running the convoy security missions.
