A day in Jess' Yemen life

In the old city of Sana'a, I lived with a Yemeni family. Every day I went to a school for the Deaf to videotape classes and record personal interviews with teachers and staff.

Training Begins in Amman

Jess and Diana began training for the Red Sea Marathon on May 22, 2008 in Medina Riadiyah in Amman. The two are enjoying the opportunity of training together for a least a couple of weeks before Diana leaves for reassignment in Oman.

A Slice of Diana's Yemen Life

This album takes the viewer through part of my life in Yemen. It begins with photos of my house and my old neighborhood, and moves on to sites and scenes from Sana'a and the surrounding area. Please note that I have no photos of older Yemeni women which I can share because they do not usually allow themselves to be photographed, or if they do would not usually wish those photos to be shared publicly. Hopefully these photos will provide a better sense of my life in Yemen.
