Ko'i Ceremony Sept 4, 2009
Native Hawaiians are traditionally a deeply spiritual people. In ancient times, and still today the kai and aina upon which we live belongs to our akua. We are all just caretakers.
On September 4'th, 2009, as the sunrose at 6:16am and full moon set at 6:02am This auspicious sacred day- bountifuly on kai and aina shall be in honor of Ko'i. The arrival of Ko'i and the presentation of 12 moku districts of Maui was in traditional Hawaiian language adn protocol.
