Red-eyed Tree Frog These Costa Rican males may appear to be hugging, however they are actually wrestling to compete for a nearby female's attention. The winner may spend the next several days in the amplexus position with the female, waiting for her to lay her eggs. His reward will be bringing his genes into the next generation.
