Pedal4Preemies Fundraiser May 31, 2008

The Linden Fund's first annual Pedal4Preemies run/walk/bike-a-thon... although just beforehand the city banned cycling in the park. The event raised $32,000 of which $5000 came from our team, The Punchbuggy Bandits. Bruce won the 10K run.

Torran 41-50 days old (32-34wk gestation, corrected age)

Corrected age adjusts a premature baby's age according to the expected date of birth. In Torran's case this would be June 10th. It is important to know the corrected age because it is the proper age against which to judge milestones, rather than days/months/years of life.

Torran Day Three

Well our little baby has, as expected, lost weight. As a result of this fluid loss, his almost normal appearance was replaced by the expected ICU neonate skeletal one. Very hard to watch. But he is holding steady.
