the wallpaper we found underneath the green stuff in the dining room (as well as the stripey stuff in the entryway). isn't it *fantastic*?
Whoever walked into this entryway must've thought they were in Ancient Egypt or something.
My dad, and the awesome chandelier - which is actually a very nice piece of lighting... just very much not for us.
mess
Wallpaper #1 is actually somewhat less awful than wallpaper #2 - which is actually *textured* to look like oil painting
Yours truly (and my Nana) on the stove, pulling two layers of the same awful stuff and one layer of the underneath stuff - and most of the sheetrock paper.
Me - with my signature yellow bandana. The yellow bandana means I'm doing *serious working*
Over above that left cabinet you can see that there are two layers of the awful pink stuff. The entire kitchen was this way. I think they paid the wallpaper guys by the roll.
It's a really big mess... but man do the walls look better - even unplastered/painted!
Another mess... but the kitchen looks SO much better!
Someday, this will be a kitchen again!
This is not good.
Pink Magenta delaminates and comes off in big strips! Unfortunately the layers underneath are not so friendly.
pink and blue flowers, painted with white stripes - lives under the magenta wood grain
aren't these *fabulous*?

We thought that ceiling was white. Then we painted it. We were wrong.
Tester splotches of our grey-blue wall color. Also - mostly white ceiling!
Our bedroom just prior to painting the walls
Hey - someone might actually live here!
