Jurmo is an island and it is also the southern end of Salpausselkä which continues a few miles futher under the sea.
There is a small village in Jurmo. I am not sure if somebody lives there all year round.

The church of Jurmo. I am sure it gets more visitors relative to its size than any other church in Finland. The day before we visited it there had been over a hundred visitors.

There is an old iron ore mine in Jussarö. Once it was shut down the Finnish military took over and practiced city warfare. That's why all the buildings on the island are pretty much fucked up.
