Troops out of NT- Stop the Land Grab & NZ 17 Solidarity Rally Newcastle 18/11/2007
As a part of the National Day of Action against the NT Intervention Newcastle hosted the "Troops out of NT - Stop the Land Grab" & NZ 17 Solidarity Rally on the 18th of November 2007 in alliance with the other Anti Intervention rallies in the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Darwin, Alice Springs & Lismore.
The Australian media conveniently shunned all rallies outside of the NT (Northern Territory) which mislead the public into thinking that only Territorians were opposed to the NT Intervention which is quickly evolving into the Federal Intervention.
The rally focused on Indigenous sovereignty rights in Australia as well New Zealand with the Tuhoi campaigners & their supporters being detained on terrorism charges at the time.
