Man on his laptop at Hassan II
Huge doors to the mosque, although I am not sure if this is the main entrance
Pathway of Archs...
Now inside the mosque where my camera could not really take pictures well. The mosque is very modern, finished in the 90's. It is hard to see here but they have actually built speakers into the pillars to disguise them in with the architecture. It is the small box at the top in the middle of the picture
A picture of the retractable ceiling. Yup, a mosque with a retractable ceiling.
Looking up to the 2nd story. You can see the speakers again to the top left in this picture.
Back outside now looking up at a dome in a courtyard
Down in the basement where one performs ablustions.
A Moroccan Hammam (Arab Bath). This one is only for show. There is really not much to see as it is only a series of rooms which would normally be heated to different temperatures.
This is a Turkish bath where they actually have a pool of water in the middle of a circular room, something Moroccan Hammams do not have.
After many shots and backing up a LONG way (thankfully the square is big enough) I finally got the building in one shot. Unfortunately the couple that took a picture of my wasnt able to get everything in
Casablanca. Looking across a fountain at I believe a court building.
In the town again.
Nice park in Casablanca. I wasn't too big a fan of the town besides the Hassan II mosque, but it did have nice areas.
And, the part which I often forgot to take pictures of. This is just an abandoned building, now a lot filled with garbage that is just in the middle of the city. Interestingly places like this are all over the place and will just pop up in an othewise nice area between expensive and beautiful looking buildings.
