Amir Majbouleh. Cut and shaped old car tyres to make a seat. This impressed the judges because it did not try to hide its origins, it was comfortable to sit in and once it had reached the end of its life could be recycled. Lisa Lyons. Lisa took apart a range of discarded odd boots to make a patchwork quilt effect on a foot stool. The judges like the humour of the piece (shoes made into footstool), it worked as an item of furniture and used a hard to recycle item. Lewis Fleming. Lewis designed a public sculpture and information display to draw people's attention to the colossal amount of plastic waste that is floating in the ocean. The model of the structure clearly showed that it would be a talking point and a great tool to educate the public on the issue of plastic in the ocean.
