"But not only the four volunteers of Happy Home enjoyed the flair spread by the different cultures – also the Happy Home children enjoyed playing, singing and dancing with our visitors."

"However, Happy Home was crowded with people those days. And it was not only German – the largest language group of ICYE-volunteers currently in the country – that could be heard everywhere. No, also Kiswahili, Sheng, French, Polish, maybe some words Italian, Danish and Swedish or randomly traces of Greek and Estonian were in the air. It was a colorful assembly that was made up by the international guests."

"From our volunteer Tebea : "We had visitors. Already since a few days they were around at Happy Home: A group of international volunteers, coming together to have their mid term evaluation or also – as it was the case for me – their end term evaluation. ""

"After a while the children – not so much in touch with European football culture and thus looking at me quite puzzled when I started cheering – started cheering with me and all of us were supporting our boys and girls in the field – especially when the hard match against Mukuyu Primary School was going on. I appreciated: No-one was angry at the ones doing mistakes that led to our defeat. It was just a nice sports day."

"From our volunteer Tebea : "My favourite moment at Happy Home in this month of August was when I cheered with the non-players at the international football match in context of the ICYE-Camp held at happy Home. Me and some of the girls were standing next to the field, thinking about chants we could start shouting to support our team: “Tuende Happy Home!” (Let’s go, Happy Home!) was one, another one “Tuende mbele, tuende mbele!” (Let’s go infront!).
