The parish of Holy Spirit was formed in April1981 in the Diocese of Fresno
The all-purpose hall was built in 1989. The building of the church was completed in October 2001.
The Women's Guild of Holy Spirit donated the courtyard fountain
The church isover 22,000 square feet and seats 1,100 parishioners.
It has grown from approximately 400 families in 1981 to approximately 2,000 currently registered (2005)
The eight acres of land at the corner of Friant Road and Champlain Drive were generously donated to the parish by the Spalding and Richard Wathen families
The first Holy Mass was celebrated in the new church building Sunday, November 8,2001. Bishop John T Steinbock, D.D. Presider, Monsignor James T Logan concelebrant and Rev Myron Cotta was Master of Ceremonies and concelebrant

The 14,000 square foot hall houses administrative offices, eight classrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a large central gathering area. The hall was dedicated April1990.
The Religious Education Office is located in the northwest corner of the hall
