BNPS.co.uk (01202 558833) Pic: Peter Willows Now thats what you call a woodlouse - The Weymouth Sealife centre in Dorset has just taken delivery of an alien looking Giant Isopod (Bathynomous giganteus) thought to be amongst the most primitive creatures on the planet, unchanged for over 160 million years. These creepy sea creatures live over a mile deep in the near freezing oceans. Although related to our common woodlice, these monsters grow to over a foot long & scavenge the seabed.
