Grade 10 Hike 2009
The Grade 10s endured the Giant’s Cup Hiking Trail in the Drakensberg foothills. I was so impressed by the energy, the positive attitudes and the endurance of the pupils. The five day group walked a total of 62 kms carrying all their personal food and clothing. Despite some long hills and some heavy packs, the children enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the fresh swimming pools in the rivers. The hike was certainly a successful trip as the children learnt much about themselves and about what and what not to pack next time. The environment also provided much opportunity of building a relationship with God.
