A crane is used (if nec.) to place the columns on the pre-poured footings. Each column is pre-engineered and custom made to suit your building site.
Now the 1st floor bearers are bolted through the pre-drilled holes in the columns. A crane is useful here - although 2 men can easily carry and place the bearers.
Now the flooring joists are laid out and bolted through the pre-drilled holes. Each component is labeled and pre-packed to aid in ease of assembly.
To flooring sheets have been lifted onto the first floor and are being used as a working platform in order to bolt in place the 2nd floor bearers. A crane is very useful, although not essential.
Second floor joists are now laid out and bolted through the pre-drilled holes. The stairwell joists are pre-cut and simply bolt together.
Here the first of the upstairs roof rafters is being lifted and bolted in place (Coolum roof). All of the steel is industrial strength - which gives our homes incredible strength.

All of the roof rafters & purlins have been placed, completing the roof structure. Roof insulation and sheeting has been laid to the side wings of this "Coolum 3".
This Ezy Home frame kit has been fully erected. All of the roof sheeting has been laid, bracing installed, and is a fully self supporting structure - ready to be taken to "lock-up stage".
The home is nearing completion to "lock-up" stage - wall framing, doors, windows, soffits & cladding.
One of Ezy Homes ingenius designs is the "Islander" roof lift. The roof structed to assembled and completed laid flat - with the rafters attached to the outside columns. Very quick and easy.
Each side of the roof structure is lifted into place by a crane.
One in place, the roof structed is bolted at the apex and at the columns.
Here the roof structure has been completed (by slipping the ridge capping into place from below) and attaching end caps. Wall framing has begun on this "Islander 1".

Here you can see a "Coolum 1" having hardwood decking fixed to the steel joists. The cement sheet soffits are nearing completion.
The house has external walls framed, wrapped in insulation, and the windows have been installed.
Now complete to "lock-up" stage, this "Coolum 1" has had its fibe cement sheet cladding installed and is ready to be painted. The interior is ready for interal walls and fitout.
