The 787 "Rolling Out". We were all in the factory where final assembly takes place. The factory doors opened as the airplane was towed in from the paint hangar across the highway.
After the ceremony we were free to walk around the plane. You can see all the people underneath reflected in the underside of the plane.
All of the customers that have purchased 787s. ANA is the launch customer.
Pretty fun to actually get to touch the airplane.
The gear doors. Chris spent a lot of time when we first started at Boeing analyzing the loads on the gear doors. Not particularly fun, but neat to see an actual part you worked on, on the airplane.
The new chevrons. They are supposed to help make engines quieter.
Some folks from the 787 aerodynamics group.
And some other folks from the loads group.
One of the engines. They're pretty massive.
