This is part of the Village Aide Program with Australian Rotarians.
Literacy is a major focus for Rotary International making our world better.

They also have a life skills project, cutting up and sewing rags.

The people are always friendly and especially warm to Sister Ann.

The children go out on the streets every day to gather discarded bottles.
The mothers and older girls then wash them.
It is tedious work but brings more money if they are clean.
Fathers then pack the bottles in bags to be taken to recyclers.
