well, like any good story begins, so there she was....
a shot of us trying to pull her out of her grave... we almost made it 10 feet!
as you can see we tore up the hill pretty bad trying to drag the old girl out of her grave
it was raining like crazy so i set up my camping canopy and went to work on the locked brake drums and engine.
after about 2 weeks of tinkering (and cussing) she roared to life and i got her on down the hill... with the passenger front tire still off the rim :-)
a shot of the hole she was in
i finally got her up the next hill and out to the road where we could actually get the flat bed to her.
you can what i had to work on because its not covered in 50 years of dust, grease, and mouse crap
a shot of where we dropped her off. the buddy that was kind enough to move her for me swore up and down i'd never get her in the garage, and my neighbors would have to look at her for all eternity. :-)
what was left of the exhaust pipe caught on the trailer on the way off and pretzeled it nicely, i had to cut it off to get her started.
about 30 minutes i pulled her into her new home... now comes the fun part. FRAME OFF!
the next me and a buddy pulled the bumpers and bed off.
hope all these parts fit in my little 2 car garage
a shot of the interior after a little cleaning, at this point the passenger door still wont open.
next went the hood
and then the fenders, grill, and core support
then the cab came off
its getting pretty full in here...
