Golden Delicious Apples!
This dough was sinfully easy to make, hurray for modern technology.
I named my mixer "Donna Reed" when I got her, I am continually amazed by how glorious she is.
The finished dough was lovely, soft, easy to mold, a bit greasy feeling since the butter was softened prior to mixing.
My poor, butchered apples, I used the melon baller to remove the cores and stems, which was really entertaining.
Making a syrup.
The dough rolled out pretty easily, but I did not let it chill long enough, so it stuck a bit to the counter top.
I realized right after taking this picture that I was supposed to lightly grease the tart pan, oh well.
Fanning out the apple slices was really rewarding, it looked so fancy, but if I can do it, anyone can.
The finished tart/gallette. Plain, simple, delicious. This dessert is really easy to through together, especially since the dough can be done in the mixer.
The final product, with bourbon whipped cream again.
