Picture with the Tower of Old Panama which was founded in1815 and destroyed and burned by pirates
In the background is our national costumes called Pollera (for women) Montuno (for men). These are very beautiful and luxurious dresses. Also you see “diablito” costume-“little devils”- which is used during Carnival time. They dance but never utter word. We give them coins to dance.
Two of them have a natives (Kunas) from our San Blas Islands and their name is Nobe Gublé. We have various different groups of natives according to the area in which they live. These are famous for the patchwork you see on their clothes. The picture was taken in a Souvenir Market.
Picture with Panama Bay in the background and view of all the new buildings coming up.
