Mt Washington

This was an awesome climb. It was very surrealistic climbing up into the clouds. The rock formations would just appear like sentinels guarding the way. The rock climbing was outrageous, 90 feet up a gnarly cliff. This mountain climb was an Obsidians outing, with Jim Pearson our fearless leader, Chance Fitzpatrick, Andrew Jensen, Gene Skinner, Bill Cox, Steve Kuhn, Chris Stockdale, and Dave Morris. This was a fantastic group of climbers, upbeat and positive the whole way.

Mt Thielsen

This is my first climb with the Obsidians. Everyone was very upbeat and had a lot of fun on the climb. We hit the trail around 6 AM. We summited by 1 PM and enjoyed pizza as a summit treat. Andrew, that was an awesome suprise. The entire trip took 11 hours but it was well worth it. Climbers Wayne Deeter (leader), Scot Hunt (co-leader), Sue Zeni, Sue Cary, Juli McGlinsky, Andrew Jensen, Lubos Hubata-Vacek, April Anderson, and myself.
