TV coverage is being filmed for the Ride Guide program
Mel and Terry looking good in their BooBoos kit
Our friends Eric and Christie
Sue Butler - another friend - modeling her fancy new kit
Yes, Sue is on the same team as Tinker Juarez, Mr. "Done every endurance race under the sun and won most of them even though I'm twice the age of some racers"
Mel and Terry cross the start line
There were two short laps to spread the field out - here, Mel and Terry approach the start line for the second time.
Sue and Matt finish up in second place among the mixed teams behind Wendy Simms and Norm Thibault.
It's always nice when a town welcomes mountain bikers rather than shunning them.
Nick Abbot and his mate (another Seattle contingent) raced a good day - he said it was the hardest day he's ever put in on a bike.
Eric and Christie looked too cheerful by far. Obviously not pushing hard enough!
Mel and Terry come across the finish line at least an hour off their expected pace.
Still time for a smile at the finish.
Terry's legs started cramping when he got up to go for an evening meal. Although bikers do have strange looking muscles, this is NOT normal. Not even for Terry.
