There were two short laps to spread the field out - here, Mel and Terry approach the start line for the second time.

Nick Abbot and his mate (another Seattle contingent) raced a good day - he said it was the hardest day he's ever put in on a bike.

Terry's legs started cramping when he got up to go for an evening meal. Although bikers do have strange looking muscles, this is NOT normal. Not even for Terry.
